Cranston police receiving $344,000 to replace aging fleet of K-9 vehicles

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island representative Seth Magaziner will be holding a press conference celebrating federal funding secured for the Cranston Police Department.

Cranston police will be getting $344,000 that will be used to upgrade their fleet of K-9 vehicles.

The department is in need of replacements for four-aged K-9 transport and patrol police vehicles.

These vehicles have been used for three patrol dogs and one critical therapy dog.

Today’s press conference will be held at the Cranston Police Department at 1:30 p.m.
