Bills would provide free breakfast and lunch to all school students

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Thursday at the state house “Healthy School Meals for All” coalition will be holding a press conference at the state house library in support of two bills.

These two bills would offer free breakfast and lunch to all public school students regardless of their household income.

The group of more than 40 organizations agree that providing healthy and free meals to students as part of their day is an important step in addressing hunger in the Ocean State.

That press conference starts at 3 p.m.
