RIPTA to hold job fair Friday in response to staffing shortage

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Today, RIPTA is hosting a job fair for drivers at their headquarters on Elmwood Avenue in Providence.

The job fair is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.

The new wage for drivers is $25.33.

All new bus operators would receive up to eight weeks of paid training, including a commercial drivers license certification.
