RISPCA gives update on seized golden retrievers
HOPKINTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said that it has found foster homes for the puppies that were seized from a home in Hopkinton earlier in the month.
RISPCA said that the ringworm culture for the dogs came back negative, and the puppies will remain in foster care until their spay/neuter surgeries.
Applications for adoption of the puppies will be open through March 17.
The organization added that the adult dogs that were seized need more medical care before they will be put up for adoption.
RISPCA said that the owner of the dogs was fined for breaking ordinances, but the organization would not be pressing charges.
