Warwick principal arraigned on DUI charges from St. Patrick’s Day arrest

NEWPORT, R.I. W(LNE) —  Warwick Veterans Middle School principal Jeffrey Goss was arraigned this morning on DUI charges.

He was arrested Sunday on Saint Patrick’s day in Tiverton for a DUI, reckless driving and refusal to submit a blood alcohol test.

Goss was with a lawyer in court this morning where he pleaded not guilty on Goss’ behalf.

According to police, Goss was involved in a car crash on March 17th.

The police report says Goss smelled like alcohol and appeared disoriented.

He reportedly admitted to having a few drinks at an Irish bar earlier in Seekonk.

Goss was arrested after failing a field sobriety test and declining a breathalyzer.
