Pawtucket police arrest suspect wanted in connection to Middletown shooting

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE)– Pawtucket police said they arrested a man wanted in connection with a shooting in Middletown on Tuesday.
According to a statement from Detective Sgt. Christopher LeFort, police recognized a vehicle in the Food Mart parking lot on Mineral Spring Avenue that had been wanted in connection to a shooting in Middletown earlier that evening.
A search of the vehicle turned up two 9 mm handguns, LeFort said.
Police identified the driver of the vehicle as 18-year-old Trentin Curry of Mineral Spring Avenue, Pawtucket.
Curry was brought to the Pawtucket police station for questioning, where police say he admitted the handguns where his.
Curry was charged with two counts of License or Permit Required for Carrying Pistol, LeFort said.
He was arraigned in Sixth District Court this morning.
