Unsettled Days Ahead
The affects of the soaker of Saturday will continue through early Tuesday. First the rivers, The Pawtuxet River will crest Monday morning at 11 feet and the Flood Warning here remains in effect until further notice. The Wood River has already crested Sunday afternoon and the Flood Warning will remain into effect through Tuesday morning. The Pawcatuck River is tidally influenced and will crest Monday morning and again Monday evening above flood stage before staying below flood stage for Tuesday. Weather-wise. Monday will be mostly sunny with a gusty breeze and cooler than average highs in the lower-40s. A coastal storm will be wobbling offshore to the east and will bring rounds of cloudiness through Tuesday and even a slight chance of showers. Wednesday we will bring in a warm front and yet more showers. Temperatures will return to the 50s midweek, but the skies will be unsettled with a chance of rain through the remainder of the week.
