More Rain on the Way

A slow-moving cold front is going to bring rain to Southern New England through today into Friday morning. This long-duration event will bring 1-2 inches of rain and the possibility of localized flooding and a FLOOD WATCH is in effect through late tonight for the potential of river flooding. The roads will be slippery and visibility will be down with patchy fog and a heavier rainfall rate. Expect slow commuting as a result. Temperatures will hold near 50 through the day. Rain continues overnight tonight and into Friday morning. The rain will end from west to east in the morning and we will get into some sunshine for the afternoon. It will be increasingly windy in the afternoon as well. Sunshine all day on Saturday and mostly sunny skies for Sunday, both with highs in the lower-50s. Unsettled weather moves back in by the middle of next week.
