Toll Gate High School asks for help from community in restoring classroom materials lost in flooding
WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi is encouraging the community to help Toll Gate High School teachers replace learning materials that were recently lost after the school flooded last month.
Toll Gate High School recently experienced severe smoke and water damage, resulting in the loss of three classrooms and essential learning materials.
In an announcement made by the school, teachers lost resources and materials that they have spent accumulating over the time of their teaching journey.
The high school is asking its community for assistance in recovering these items through the donation of materials via Amazon Wish Lists that were created by faculty.
The school notes that these much needed items serve as a foundation to students’ learning environment.
The school made a statement regarding this matter:
“Whether you are a parent, alumni, local business owner, or simply a concerned member of our community, your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in the lives of our students and teachers.”
