Providence kitchen fire leaves 9 displaced
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Friday afternoon the Providence Fire Department responded to a house fire on Academy Avenue.
According to the Providence Fire Department, a small kitchen fire occurred in the rear of an apartment.
The fire resulted in smoke damage throughout the second and third floors.
There were no injuries reported but seven adults and two children were displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
