Swansea Police arrest man after attempted kidnapping
SWANSEA, Mass. (WLNE) — The Swansea Police Department said it has made an arrest in connection with the attempted kidnapping of two teenage girls.
60-year-old Michael Nutbrown, of Somerset, was charged with attempted kidnapping.
Nutbrown is accused of approaching two girls on the bicycle path on Milford Road near Target and asking if they wanted a ride.
The girls ran away after they asked him to repeat his question.
Security cameras captured the suspect described above as the dark blue sedan was parked at Target.
He exited the vehicle, removing items from the front and back seats and placing them in the trunk.
Police said he then walked away from the vehicle and stared down the road, in the direction from where the girls would be walking.
Nutbrown is scheduled to be arraigned on April 1.
