Large, deadly fire under investigation in Douglas

DOUGLAS, MASS (WLNE) – Firefighters are currently investigating a fatal fire that happened overnight in Douglas.

Firefighters were called to a large fire of a two and a half story building on Glen Street just before 10:30 PM.

The chief on scene says there was heavy fire on the backside of the building.

Fire crews knocked it down, but one person was tragically killed.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
