UDPATE: Man accused of Swansea attempted kidnapping pleads not guilty

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A Somerset man accused of trying to lure two teenage girls into his car in Swansea last week faced a judge Monday.

Michael Nutbrown, 60, of Somerset, is charged with attempted kidnapping pleaded not guilty, was given $1,000 bail and a no contact order with anyone involved in the case.

He is accused of approaching two girls on a bicycle path on Milford Road in Swansea and asking if they wanted a ride.

The girls ran away when they asked him to repeat his question.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect vehicle described as a dark blue sedan parked at a nearby Target.

Nutbrown was arrested by Swansea police on Friday.
