Man killed in collision with tractor-trailer in Foxborough

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — A man died after his car collided with a tractor-trailer on Route 1 in Foxborough on Monday.

Foxborough Police Chief Michael Grace said officers responded to reports of a crash on Route 1 Northbound at 5:28 p.m.

Grace said an initial investigation revealed that a tractor-trailer was rear-ended by a car while preparing to turn onto Lincoln Road.

The driver of the car was seriously injured in the crash and taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities said the incident is still under investigation.
