Rhode Island DEM continues to monitor Johnson’s Pond

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management continues to monitor the situation at Johnson’s Pond in Coventry.

This is after a potential safety concern was brought to light, however the safety concern has not been made public.

A spokesperson for the DEM says no repairs have been authorized by the state, and it is the the responsibility of the owner of the dam to maintain the safety of the dam.
