Mass. smoke shop experiences third break-in this year

FRANKLIN, Mass. (WLNE) — The Franklin Police Department shared that around 7:30 A.M., the emergency communication center received a call for a possible break in at a Moonlight Smoke Shop on East Central Street.

Upon officer’s arrival, it was observed that the front door had been smashed and entry made.

According to police, a witness reported a blue vehicle fled the scene before officer’s arrival.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the car or any suspects.

It is unclear what was taken from the shop, but officers are continuing to investigate.

Franklin police shared that this is the third time that this location has been broken into this year.

Three juveniles were charged in the previous incidents.
