USCG releases chilling Quonset Point plane crash recovery dive video

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The United States Coast Guard shared diving footage and images of officials working to recover a plane that crashed into the water near Quonset Point on March 30.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a single-engine aircraft crashed into Narragansett Bay near Quonset State Airport at 2:51 p.m.

There were two people involved in the crash, both whom had survived.

Emergency crews were able to rescue the plane’s passengers by 3:01 p.m.

There were no injuries, but one person was treated at the hospital for shock.

The dive teams worked together earlier this week to retrieve the plane.
