Annual Christmas Festival held in West Warwick

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE): Christmas is just around the corner and many got a head start in celebrating during the Annual Christmas Festival in West Warwick over the weekend.

The festival was held at the West Warwick Civic Center on Factory Street.

Vendors were socially distanced, masked, and selling all kinds of local goods from t-shirts to Christmas ornaments.

Kely Carlini, the event organizer, said they had to cut down on the number of vendors from 125 to about 50 because of Covid-19 guidelines. They also had to limit the number of people who went in at a time.

“We need to have some joy in our lives right now and people like to come shopping at bizarre and craft show,” Carlini said. “It makes people happy, and more importantly it’s really about supporting these small businesses who are trying to find a way to connect with the customers.”
