GLOCESTER, R.I. (WLNE) — A large fire department response took place on Brook Hill Road in Glocester Thursday.

The department said that a fire was active throughout the house and was believed to have started in the basement.

The fire reignited once but was eventually under control.

The residents of the house were outside at the time the fire started, and firefighters blamed the fire on clutter in the basement.

ABC 6 News crews on scene saw emergency vehicles lining the street as well as smoke coming out of a hole firefighters cut in the roof.
