Legal action still might be taken over Washington Bridge
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Legal action may still be pursued after critical safety issues were discovered on the Washington Bridge prompting its closure in December.
Today Governor Dan McKee is expected to announce the attorneys hired by his office to pursue potential legal action related to the bridge’s failure.
Senior Deputy Chief of Staff Joseph Almond will also be in attendance.
Almond was assigned to RIDOT to provide oversight and cross-agency coordination.
Friday’s announcement will be at 10 a.m. this morning.
