New Jersey earthquake felt in Rhode Island, Massachusetts

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit near Lebanon, New Jersey this morning, which was located about 4 miles northeast of Whitehouse Station with a depth of about 3 miles.

Rhode Island is just over 220 miles away from that location, and the shaking was felt across the northeast..

Areas from New Hampshire all the way down to the Delaware area felt the shocks of the earthquake.
