Remaining on the cool side this weekend
Low pressure stuck over Downeast Maine will continue to affect us through the weekend with cool temperatures, a lot of clouds and spotty rain showers.
Overnight it’ll remain cloudy with a passing light rain shower around and temperatures dropping to the mid 30s. For your Saturday, clouds will start the day off, but as we move into the afternoon scattered light rain showers will develop with highs only in the mid 40s. Those showers will diminish Saturday evening, but the clouds will remain.
Another weak disturbance will slide through Sunday morning with another shower threat, especially for eastern MA and then we can look for slow improvement throughout Sunday afternoon with some sunshine developing. However, highs will continue to be in the mid 40s.
Finally High pressure builds in for Monday which mean a good deal of sunshine coming our way, although there may be high thin clouds sweeping in from the west during the time of the eclipse. Temperatures will climb to near 60°! Pleasant conditions last into Tuesday with highs again in the low 60s before a backdoor cold front drop down from the north Tuesday night to cool us off for Wednesday with increasing clouds. The next threat of rain looks to arrive for Thursday and possibly become heavy at times through Friday with gusty winds.
