Apartments in Mansfield evacuated due to smell of gas

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — An apartment building in Mansfield had to be evacuated due to a suspected natural gas leak Saturday.

The Mansfield Fire Department’s union said that multiple emergency vehicles responded to the Chocolate Factory Apartments on Oakland Street for the smell of gas throughout the building.

The union added that all residents were evacuated from the building and Eversource was investigating.
