PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE)– The Pawtucket Red Sox will be offering fans a last chance to own memorabilia from their 50-year run at McCoy Stadium this Saturday.

Its the club’s fifth annual– and final– “BallYard Sale” before it heads to Worcester next season.

This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event will be streamed live on the team’s Facebook and Twitter channels beginning at 10 a.m.

A one-hour television broadcast,  “Last Chance at History – A  PawSox Jersey and Memorabilia Sale” will also air on Cox Cable Rhode Island Channel 4 on Sunday at 10 p.m., with further rebroadcasts scheduled over the week.

Among the offerings up for grabs are game-worn jerseys and helmets, stadium seats, autographed balls and photos, and a “bounty of bobbleheads,” according to a statement from  spokesman Bill Wanless.

“We are taking some memorabilia items with us to Worcester to proudly display to new generations of fans,” said Vice-Chairman Mike Tamburro.  “But fortunately for PawSox fans, we still have an abundance of items that can allow fans to keep a piece of PawSox history in their homes.”

Additionally, a number of special items will be auctioned off on pawsox.com to benefit the PawSox Foundation, the team’s charitable organization.

Fans will have the option of picking the items curbside at the stadium, or having them delivered to their homes.

“We are all filled with emotion, and we thought fans might enjoy having some of these small baseball treasures to cherish, especially in the holiday season,” Tamburro said.
