MassDOT performing overnight sweeping on multiple bridges

NEW BEDFORD, R.I. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said that it will be preforming overnight maintenance and debris on multiple bridges beginning April 16.

The affected bridges include the Braga Bridge and Veterans Memorial Bridge in Fall River as well as the New-Bedford-Fairhaven Swing Bridge.

Sweeping on each bridge will begin around 9 p.m. and should conclude by 6 a.m. the following morning.

Drivers travelling through the are should use caution and expect delays.
