NORTON, MA (WLNE) – Police arrested a fugitive wanted on serious charges in multiple states Friday in Norton.
Thomas Holland, 32, of Taunton, was arrested Friday in Norton after attempting to flee arresting officers.
State Police said Holland was wanted in connection with a 2017 shooting in Manchester, NH, for brandishing a firearm and illegally entering an apartment in Taunton on June 2nd, and in connection to a large crack cocaine bust August 1st in Danvers.
Massachusetts State Troopers, along with Norton and Raynham detectives, attempted to stop a vehicle in which Holland was traveling around 4:45 p.m.
Police boxed in the vehicle and attempted to apprehend Holland before the suspect vehicle struck two police cruisers and was able to flee the scene.
After a pursuit in which the suspect vehicle struck a third cruiser before traveling onto Route 495 southbound, Police said Holland exited his vehicle and began traveling northbound on foot, attempting to enter multiple vehicles parked in traffic.
State Troopers and detectives converged on Holland’s location and were able to take him into custody without further incident.
Holland will be charged in connection with the aforementioned crimes, as well as for resisting arrest and attempted carjacking.
State Police said the woman driving Holland’s vehicle, Brittany Pasternak, of Somerset, was also arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and malicious destruction of property.
Norton Police added that detectives obtained a search warrant for a hotel room in which Holland was known to be staying. Police seized 280 grams of crack cocaine and $2500 in cash.
Holland will be charged in Attleboro District Court at a later date for his offenses.
