PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Two suspects in an attempted home invasion were stabbed by the tenant of the apartment on Monday night in Providence.

According to Providence police, the incident occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. Monday night when two subjects, Victor Lugo, 29, Arialisa Medina, 26, allegedly broke into a residence at 69 Steuben Street.

One of the apartment tenants armed himself with a knife and stabbed the two subjects.

The incident reportedly occurred due to a previous argument between the parties.

The two subjects are charged with breaking and entering and assault.
