Woonsocket announces spring flushing

WOOSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Woonsocket Water Division has announced that spring flushing will begin tonight in various Woonsocket neighborhoods.

Senior Water Foreman Jeff Corriveau announced that the city will be flushing hydrants in the following areas:

  • Elm Street From Jervis St to Wood Ave
  • Wood Ave from Diamond Hill Rd to Elm St
  • Robinson St From Morin Heights Blvd to Burnside Ave
  • Mill St, including all side streets in these areas

The flushing will take place today until 5 a.m. on Wednesday April 17. Customers are advised to run cold water for a short time if they experience discoloration, and store water in containers for usage while they are working on the hydrants.
