UPDATE: Bristol teen faces a judge in connection to child’s death

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Bristol woman who was arrested in connection with the death of her two-month-old child appeared in court in Providence Wednesday.

Trista Thivierge appeared in court after posting $10,000 surety bail and no plea was entered.

Thivierge is charged with child endangerment and obstructing a police officer.

Her next court date will July 17, 2024.

The incident occurred on April 12 at 4:37 a.m. when police responded to Thivierge’s Bayview Ave residence to find the child lying on the bedroom floor not breathing.

Despite life-saving measures being administered, the child was pronounced dead on the scene.
