Scituate participates in training with U.S. Coast Guard

SCHITUATE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Scituate Police Marine Unit participated in training with the U.S. Coast Guard on Wednesday.
The Scituate Fire Department also participated in training with the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services, which will continue until tomorrow.
“We were fortunate to have perfect weather conditions and K-9 Blue on board with his new life vest,” wrote the department on their Facebook page.
Officials received instruction on a variety of emergency situations; including towing techniques, “man overboard” drills, and land and water exercises.
“Our mission is to continually train with our Law Enforcement partners to ensure that we are prepared for any emergency situation on the water, year round,” said the department.
