WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island SPCA will receive a grant investment of $1,500 from national nonprofit Petco Love.

This is part of Petco Love’s $15 million investment in local organizations across the country.

“With Petco Love’s investment in our hardship boarding program, pet parents are able to comfortably seek help for themselves knowing their beloved four-legged friends are being well cared for,” said Megan Yaffe, Director of Operations, Rhode Island SPCA.

“Our investment in the Rhode Island SPCA is part of more than $15M in investments recently announced by Petco Love to power local organizations across the country as part of our commitment to create a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized,” said Susanne Kogut, president of Petco Love.

Petco Love also finds homes for animals in partnership with Petco and more than 4,000 organizations throughout the nation.

These efforts have resulted in the adopting of 6.75 million pets.
