Troopers investigating crash in Taunton after vehicle flees traffic stop

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Troopers are investigating a crash in Taunton on Monday night.

The Massachusetts State Police Department said the crash occurred on Cohannet Street.

Police said the car involved in the crash fled from troopers on an earlier traffic stop.

The driver was not present by the time troopers arrived on the scene.

Officials added that the car was not being pursued at the time of the crash.

Authorities did not release any additional information.
