House Committee to vote on several bills

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Today at the state house, the House Committee will vote on nine bills today, including a package from House Speaker Joseph Shekarchi.

Some of the bills will include:

• Allowing municipalities to count mobile homes as affordable housing, if they meet the requirements that the home is permanent housing. 
• Requiring towns and cities to keep an annual log of abandoned properties. 
• Requiring no regulation of coastal and freshwater wetlands beyond state agency requirements.
