Showers return Wednesday, more chilly nights ahead
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — We get a break from the frosty nights tonight, but they will return later in the week.
Clouds begin to increase tonight ahead of a cold front. Showers will arrive by mid-morning on Wednesday before tapering off later in the day. Highs should briefly reach the low 60s.
Behind the front, chilly air will build in. A *FREEZE WATCH* has been issued for early Thursday morning. Widespread frost is likely.
This may get re-issued for Friday morning as well. Outside of that, expect ample sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 50s on both Thursday and Friday.
Warmer temps are expected over the weekend, but we may have to dodge a few showers Saturday night into Sunday. But the weekend definitely isn’t a washout.
Highs near 70 are expected on both Sunday and Monday.
