Johnston to start construction on new school

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Johnston is expected to break ground on their new elementary school.

The new school will be built in between Johnston High School and the soccer complex.

Construction will kick off with the official groundbreaking on May 4 at 10 a.m.

Johnston says it hopes the school will be open and operational by 2026.
