Framingham police investigating death of man found behind restaurant

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives, and Framingham Police are investigating the death of a man found behind a restaurant Saturday.

Officers identified the man Tuesday as Anthony Junior Lopez of Framingham. According to police, Lopez was working at Hot Table at Shoppers World on the weekend of Saturday, April 20.

The case has been referred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and a ruling on the cause of death is pending. His sister Christina Caraballo shared a GoFundMe Monday, indicating that she and her family were raising money for a memorial service for Lopez.
“He was a father, brother, son he was a wonderful father to his son. He was such a goofy person loving person outgoing person! My baby brother was a wonderful cook and love the outdoors. He leaving behind a son that he loved so much! He had a beautiful smile that lights up the room! My baby brother was the joy in our hearts he was such a beautiful person in and out! We going to miss him dearly and we definitely going to miss his laugh and smile and he goofiness. Rest in peace little bro watch over us, we love you, and going to miss you.”
