Whitehouse officially announces reelection bid for 2024

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — United States Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island officially announced his bid for reelection in 2024 on Thursday.
This would be Whitehouse’s fourth term in the United States Senate making his tenure in the body 24 years, first being elected in 2006.
Whitehouse has emphasized his priorities as restructuring the tax code, securing Social Security and Medicare, climate change and health care affordability among other issues.
