Walmart and Sam’s Club offer safe medication disposal on Drug Take Back Day

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Saturday is Drug Take Back Day.

The National Incentive aims to provide a safe and convenient way for people to safely dispose of prescription drugs while also educating the general public about the potential abuse of medications.

Walmart and Sam’s Club are hosting in-person medication disposal events at select stores across the country.

Law enforcement agencies will be in the parking lot at the Walmart on Bald Hill Road in Warwick from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for individuals to drop off any unwanted, unused or expired prescriptions.
