18-year-old arrested after assaulting staff member at school
LYNN, Mass. (WLNE) — An 18-year-old is expected in court today after police say he stabbed a teacher several times.
Police officers say Larnel Jean Eustach stabbed a staff member multiple times during the school day at Kipp Academy before attempting to flee the scene.
He was later detained and arrested by officials.
In a letter to parents, the school wrote that they put the students in a secure and hold campus movement lockdown to maintain the safety of all.
The letter continued:
“Our focus at this time is on supporting our community; we are mobilizing counseling and additional support services for students, faculty, and staff today and will continue to provide information on accessing these supports and ensuring access remains available in the days ahead.
