Edgewood Market in Cranston to close after 70 years

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A popular market and deli is closing today after nearly 70 years in business.

Edgewood Market and Deli in Cranston announced on Facebook that they would be retiring on May 1.

The business was established in 1958 as a small grocery. It is located on Narragansett Boulevard by the Johnson & Wales Harborside campus and next to the Washington Park neighborhood in Providence.
