Athletic Hall of Fame coming to Taunton High School

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Taunton High School announced Thursday that an Athletic Hall of Fame will be established to recognize and honor achievements of former student-athletes, coaches and teams.

“We are thrilled to launch our Athletics Hall of Fame and recognize the outstanding contributions of our former student-athletes, teams, coaches, administrators, and contributors,” said Superintendent Cabral.

“This is a great way to honor their dedication and hard work, and to inspire our current and future students to reach their full potential.”

Nominations to the hall of fame are open to the public and can be submitted online or in person.

There are six categories for induction:

  • Student-athlete
  • Team
  • Coach
  • Administrator
  • Contributor
  • Classic (contributions and/or achievements before 1950)
