New Bedford man arrested for cocaine and firearm charges

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — New Bedford Police Department have announced that they arrested a man after an investigation into his cocaine delivery service.

40-year-old Brandon Delgado was charged with trafficking cocaine in excess of 200 grams and possessing a firearm and ammunition without a license.

Police discovered 345 grams of cocaine, as well as a 38 special revolver along with corresponding ammunition in an apartment on North Street back in April.

Delgado has an extensive criminal record with 36  arraignments on his record, was previously convicted in Boston Federal Court for cocaine distribution in 2006.

At the time of his arrest, he had three open felony cases out of Fall River District Court.  He is being held without bail at the Dartmouth House of Correction.
