All I-95 lanes reopen after fire in Norwalk

NORWALK, C.T. (WLNE) — All lanes on Interstate 95 in Norwalk reopened on May 5 only days after a tanker crash caused a large fire on the highway.
Gov. Ned Lamont said that all lanes were reopened at 10 a.m., just 3 days after he instated a state of emergency for the bridge that needed to be demolished due to damage from the fire.
It takes a village, and from the response from @NorwalkCtPD, @CT_STATE_POLICE and fire depts to the environmental cleanup by @CTDEEPNews and demolition and rebuilding by the @CTDOTOfficial and contractors, everyone did their part. I am impressed and thankful for their dedication.

“It is truly remarkable to complete this work in less than 80 hours,” Lamont said.
