Rhode Island veterans honored in Washington D.C.

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — World War II and the Korean and Vietnam Wars veterans were honored in a free flight to Washington D.C. this weekend.

The Rhode Island Chief’s Honor Flight Hub, Official Hub of the Honor Flight Network™, transports veterans to visit and reflect at Arlington National Cemetery and other memorials for a day.

The veterans were flown to Washington D.C. from Providence’s T.F. Green International Airport.

They were given a motorcycle escort from the airport to the memorials in Washington.
