Guns, drugs seized in series of New Bedford arrests

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Three guns and drugs were seized in four New Bedford arrests this week.
The New Bedford Police Department said 23-year-old Justin Ramos and Carmen Curio were arrested Monday after an investigation into a cocaine distribution service on Roosevelt Street.
Ramos and Curio were charged with firearm-related offenses, two counts of possession to distribute a class B drug, and conspiracy to violate the drug law.
Officials added that 19-year-olds Tavarus Veal and Jorge Santana-Sanchez were arrested Tuesday in the area of Montes Park after reports of a man with an illegal firearm.
Veal and Santana-Sanchez were also charged with firearm violations, with Santana-Sanchez additionally charged with possession to distribute after officers allegedly found marijuana on him.
