Strong to severe thunderstorm threat this afternoon

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Short-lived lovely start to our Wednesday due to an approaching warm front that will bring unsettled weather.

We’re under the risk for strong to severe thunderstorm threat.

Two rounds to impact our region.

The first one this morning through early afternoon.

Second round will be isolated this afternoon and that’s when we could see some large hail and strong to damaging winds.

This threat is expected to last into the evening hours.

Overnight this unsettled weather will taper off.

Patchy fog will develop tonight into tomorrow morning, may be dense in some spots.

Slight chance for showers tomorrow afternoon with seasonable temperatures.

We’ll do it all over on Friday with much cooler temperatures in the low-50s.

Saturday is panning out to be nicer with partial sunshine in the upper-50s.

Slight chance for showers return on Sunday with periods of sun, temperatures in the upper 50s with breeze conditions.

Quiet weather to start the work week.
