East Providence honors ‘Remarkable Women’ of the year

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Just in time for Mother’s Day, East Providence honored 9 residents who have impacted the community in various ways.

This is the fifth year the city of East Providence has officially honored women through their “Remarkable Women” program.

The program is overseen by East Providence Mayor Bob DaSilva.

The 2024 honorees included Diana Fairfax, Izilda Fernandes, Kathy Holahan, Laura Jones, Angie Lovegrove, Laurie Marchand, Stacey Messier, Rebecca Warr, Esq. and Carole Washington Brown.
