RIDOT to open new Route 6 to Route 10 ramp May 10

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — RIDOT is set to open a newly reconstructed ramp from Route 6 East to Route 10 South in Providence on Friday after the evening rush hour.

The new ramp is in the same location as the previous ramp.

The exit for the new ramp will be encountered sooner than before, approximately 1,200 feet before the start of the current temporary ramp.

RIDOT will now be able to finalize Westminster Street construction, which will allow for the reopening of the Westminster Street off-ramp from Route 10 North and Routh 10 South on-ramp from Westminster Street.
