Full-time lane closures coming to I-95 south in Attleboro
ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — MassDOT announced that it will be closing lanes for construction to improve the ramp between I-295 northbound and I-95 southbound in Attleboro.
The closures will begin Sunday, May 12 and the work is expected to be complete by the end of 2025.
The lane closures will vary as work progresses.
Phase one of the closures will see through traffic on I-95 south reduced from three lanes to two.
Traffic from I-295 northbound to I-95 southbound will remain the same.
This work will be to install a new guardrail on the east side of I-95 southbound.
Later closures, expected to take place in the fall of 2024, will affect travel on I-95 southbound and I-295 northbound including a temporary weekend shutdown of the I-95 southbound ramp off I-295 northbound.
