Adam Montgomery sentenced to 50 years to life in prison for death of his daughter
MANCHESTER, NH. (WLNE) — Adam Montgomery was sentenced yesterday to 50 years to life in prison for the murder of his 5-year-old daughter Harmony.
In February, Montgomery was found guilty of second-degree murder for the death of his daughter in 2019.
He was also found guilty of second-degree assault, witness tampering, falsifying physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse.
She was reported missing in 2021, nearly 2 years after prosecutors said she was murdered.
Her remains have still not been found.
According to WCVB, victim impact statements were read in the courtroom yesterday by her adoptive family, as well as her mother.
“I love Harmony. I miss her. I hope I get to see her again. My sister had beautiful eyes and we smile alike. I liked having fun with her on the playground,” a statement from her brother Jamison was read by her adoptive father Jonathon Bobbitt-Miller. “I’m really sad. She’s an angel. I miss her. She was my best friend.”
“Harmony was an innocent 5-year-old girl. You treated her in the worst possible ways in both her life and in her death,” said Judge Amy Messer.
